WELCOME TO AL'S FRENCH FRYS

Serving up the best frys, burgers, and smiles in town. A Burlington tradition since 1946.

80 Years of Al's French Frys

Al’s French Frys was started by Al and Genevieve Rusterholz in the late 1940’s. Their fabulous french frys quickly made Al’s into a Burlington-area institution.

The original South Burlington building had an open front counter and no inside seating. The surrounding farmland is urban now. The restaurant was purchased by Bill and Lee Bissonette in 1983 and the building has since had several additions, but the frys are still the same, and it’s no exaggeration to say that they are known nationwide.

Lee Bissonette retired in 2016 and Bill and his son Shane now own the business. Thanks for coming to Al’s, and enjoy!

"I love Al's!! I grew up going to Al's with my family and Friends! This place has provided me with many good memories. I recently moved to DC and wish I could have taken Al's with me! Every time I'm back home I go!"

"Al's is a local staple for a reason. Their service and food is consistently excellent. We go pretty regularly and whether it's a slow day or a busy lunch rush we always receive the same quality."
